Question: Where are the various town buildings?
Answer: The Town Office is in rented space, on Black Hall road, just off US-202,4 and NH-9. Epsom Central School is located further down Black Hall Road. The Fire Station, Town Hall, and New Library are located east of Black Hall Road. The existing library is between Black Hall Road and the Traffic Circle. The Police Station is on NH-28, just north of the Traffic Circle, and the Town Garage is west of the circle.
Question: How come parts of the website are not up to date?
Answer: The question comes up at least weekly, and from as far away as Maryland. One resident even joked to that "Epsom is just too darned backward [to maintain a website]". All humor aside, the lack of information is due to the various Committees and Departments not providing it. There is only so much the volunteer staff can do. If you want to see more content on the webpages, there are two things you could do... First, show up at a Website Committee meeting, and Second, contact the Board of Selectmen and mandate that meeting agendas and minutes for all Town committees get posted to the website.
Q: Where is Epsom? Isn't it by the Seacoast?
A: No... That's Epping. Epsom is located east of Concord, the State Capitol, at the junction of US-202, US-4, and NH-9 which run generally east-west, and NH-28 which runs southwest-northeast. We're near New Hampshire's major cites, highways, and the Seacoast, Lakes Region and White Mountains.
Q: When's the next train?
A: You're a bit late... the last run of The Blueberry Express was on December 20, 1952. As you drive around town, and along the Suncook River, you can still see the remains of the Suncook Valley Railroad. Buildings are still standing at Short Falls and Epsom proper, just off Goboro Road.
