CEMETERY TRUSTEE MEETING

March 21, 2016

DRAFT MINUTES

Present: Trustee, Mike Loso; Trustee, Gary Kitson and Sexton, William Clark

Also in attendance: Scott Collins from MCPS

The meeting was called to order at 6:30PM.

1. There was one interment for the month of March.

Mildreth E. Cheever, full burial – Row H, Lot 10, Plot E. Sexton payment for this burial will be included in the April invoice.

2. Invoices received:

There were no invoices.

3. Sexton Report:

It was noted that one of the watering stand pipes in the McClary cemetery had broken. Sexton Clark will repair when the weather permits.

4. Review Correspondence:

There were no correspondences.

5. Old Business:

Fence repairs at Short Falls cemetery were discussed. It was decided that MCPS will do the repairs this spring using fence parts salvaged from within the cemetery.

6. New Business:

In 2015 the Trustees authorized MCPS to cut and remove the brush around the walls at the McClary cemetery and around the pond at Short Falls cemetery. The Trustees requested MCPS keep the brush trimmed at these areas throughout the growing season. This would be in addition to the regular mowing services provided.

Grading of the roads within the McClary cemetery was discussed. Trustee Kitson will meet with Bruce Hogdon, of Hogdon & Son, to get this work lined up and completed.
