What do I need to renew my registration?
A valid ID and the old registration. If you don’t have the reg and you are the primary owner, we can look it up.
 
I just bought a car, what do I need to register it?
From a DEALER: title application
PRIVATE SALE: 2000 or newer; properly assigned title
                           1999 or older; bill of sale AND a previous NH registration OR VIN verification form
 
I have a trailer I need to register, what do I need for paperwork?
If the trailer is over 3000lbs, same as above
If the trailer is less than 3000lbs, a bill of sale AND a previous NH registration OR VIN verification form
 
I lost my title; can I get a new one?
Yes, you can request a duplicate registration through the NH DMV with a form and a $25 check
 
I misplaced my registration, can I get a duplicate?
Yes, the cost for a duplicate registration is $18.
 
One of my plates/stickers fell off, can I get a replacement?
Yes, we can replace or reorder plates and decals here at the office for a small fee.
 
Can I register someone else’s vehicle for them?
Yes, as long as you have their previous registration and a valid ID.
 
I just moved from out of state, what paperwork do I need to register my vehicle in NH?
1) Proof of Residency (utility bill or deed/lease with Epsom address on it)
2) Title OR registration and lienholder information if you don’t own the vehicle yet
 
I just moved from out-of-town, how do I renew my NH registration in Epsom?
1) Proof of Residency (utility bill or deed/lease with new Epsom address on it)
2) A previous registration
 
OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER…
If you bought a vehicle or trailer that needs to be TITLED, ALL parties that are going to be on the new title need to be present to sign the title application. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
 
If you don’t have a VALID ID, we will not process your transaction. (Per HB 391)
 
ANY vehicle (or trailer over 3000lbs) that is a 2000 or newer NEEDS to be titled. You need a title to get a title.
 
Veteran/Commercial/Antique/Handicap/Apportioned plates and any vehicle with a GVW over 26,000lbs must be completed at the state, only after the town portion of the registration is done with the clerk.
